The total area of the Carpathian Natural Park is over 50 thousand hectares. Tourists are offered about 50 marked routes, where there are many locations that allow them to spend their leisure time with great benefit for soul and body. A significant part of the park area is occupied by the Chornohora and Gorgany mountain ranges. There are also small hills and βtwo-thousanderβ mountains, including the highest peak in Ukraine – Hoverla (2061 meters).
The routes to these mountain peaks are of varying degrees of difficulty: many are accessible even to completely unprepared tourists and children, and climbing some routes is only possible for experienced climbers. Those who want to experience the thrill can also go kayaking on the highest mountain river in Ukraine – the Prut. The Carpathian Natural Park is famous for its vegetation. Just imagine: 1260 plant species grow on its territory, 80 of which are listed in the Red Book of Ukraine! As for the fauna, 56 species of mammals, 10 species of amphibians, 7 species of reptiles, 114 species of birds, 11 species of fish live here. Moreover, 44 species of them are listed in the Red Book of Ukraine!
