The picturesque gently sloping Mount Sinyachka (height – 1400 meters) belongs to the Gorgany mountain range. This mountain looks like a typical Gorgan mountain, that is, there are mainly stone placers overgrown with lichen; trees and shrubs also grow. Climbing the mountain is the best option for those who want to make an easy one-day hike. This route is classified as easy (that is, accessible to almost all healthy people), length – 21 kilometers, travel time – approximately 8 hours.
It is most convenient to start climbing Mount Sinyachka from the village of Dora (part of Yaremche), which is located 35 kilometers from our Chillax hotel. If you climb this route, you will see a rather atypical sight for the Ukrainian Carpathians – oil production derricks (there are more than three hundred active wells in the adjacent territory of the oil field) and pipes, access to which is open to everyone (there are no fences here) ). Thanks to this, every tourist can see with his own eyes the process of extracting “black gold” from the bowels of the Carpathian soil.
In addition, when climbing Sinyachka you can see Mount Pierce Dor (aka White Stone, 961 meters high), consisting of huge 30-meter cliffs of Yamny sandstone, which attract a considerable number of climbers trying to conquer them. If you’re in Sinyachka during the berry ripening season, you’ll probably stay here for a long time, because you can pick them up and eat more than enough (especially a lot of raspberries and blueberries).
The higher you climb, the more magnificent views of the surrounding mountain ranges will open to your eyes. Climbing to the very top of Sinyachka, you can see a beautiful panorama of the southeastern Gorgans, in particular the mountains Dovbushanku, Khomyak, Sinyak, Maly Gorgan, Vedmezhik and Igrovets, and in the distance – Goverla and Sivulya.
You can complete the hike near Yaremche and spend the rest of the day at one of the famous local waterfalls “Probiy” or “Maiden’s tears”. In any case, such a trip to the mountains and such a vacation will be remembered for a long time!
